Can I Afford You? Yes!  There are many pricing packages and ala carte options to choose from.

What Do Your Packages Include? My personal “tastefully interactive” DJ services with a results-oriented approach toward your event. In other words, just enough personality to make people feel comfortable, but not in excess. I feature a computer based system with clean versions music, in whatever proportions you want! From all-time favorites and ethnically diverse music selections to today’s top hits. Only professional grade sound equipment is brought.  Optional sub-woofers, that enhance the quality of the music, not make it louder, colorful LED Up-lighting or Dance Floor Lighting can also be added. Reasonable sound levels and a wireless microphone come standard. In addition, we feature on-site backup gear, insured professionals and emergency on-call personnel. Except for some downtown Chicago or remote locations, most travel is included.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Honest and square dealing is the hallmark of a reputable DJ service. We don’t play games with customers. A DJ who is good at what he or she does, never has to offer discounts as their uniquely crafted services are always in demand.

How Do I Book Your Services and How Much Down Will I Need? Depending on the function, a small down payment (deposit) is required and can be done via charge cards or EBT (Electronic Bank Transaction). All event bookings are done by agreement to protect you, our customers, and guarantee that services will be provided. Among other safeguards, agreements always specify the owner DJ Jay’s name at the time of booking.

What types of customers have you worked with? All kinds! From Doctors to Dock Workers and Auto Mechanics to Teachers. These are the people I live to work for and their families. With so many cultures blending here in America, we are truly blessed with amazing musical variety!

What’s your secret to getting my guests on the dance floor? I understand the dynamics of what to play, when to play it and how much of it to play.  I also play a wide variety of music and connecting with the ages attending.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? Make a list of what things have you have liked (or not liked about) DJs in the past. Every DJ has personality, some more than others. What kind of “bedside manner” do they have?  Passive, moderate, aggressive?  Friendly, fun, personable?  Can their personality be modified, if needed?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Unlike most DJ’s, I proudly hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcasting from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. As a former On-Air Radio DJ and News Correspondent, I learned how to MC properly with clarity, creativity and warmth. These learned skills provided me with a great foundation to build onto as a mobile DJ.  As a true art-form, they are well-suited to the challenges and unpredictability of weddings and private parties. — the love of it shows at every event!

What about entertainment alternatives? We know in life you get what you pay for.  Using an iPod®, an amateur, or a friend as your DJ is risky.  Gambling your party (or a friendship) is foolish.  After 20 years, I continue to hear countless horror stories.  Don’t do it!!!  Let me show you ways to guarantee quality at a great price.
