Jay
Education
Jay is a past graduate of Maine South High School and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Production from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida, in Gainesville. As a communications major (specializing in Radio & TV), Jay learned how to word his announcements properly with clarity, creativity and warmth so that M. C. duties are always handled professionally. Jay's unique blend of education, experience and accumulated knowledge makes him a top choice for any event.

Experience
After working as a DJ at bars and private parties part time, Jay established Crestline Entertainment in 1987 as a "tastefully interactive" DJ company. With passion that continues today, Jay was able to transition his love of DJing to a full time occupation (June 1991 to present). Because of it's success, Crestline was incorporated as a company in October of 2003. While DJ Jay has also done "On-Air" DJing & News Correspondence in Florida as well as locally for WETN Wheaton in Illinois (Summer 1990), he missed the excitement, unpredictability and challenges of a "live" event. It was then that a mobile DJ career was fully embraced and a legacy was born.

Related Experience
Jay brings a wealth of appropriate and useful knowledge that he continually taps into as your DJ. As an accomplished musician (clarinet) and member of the Concert Band at Maine South High School for 3 years, Jay's love of music didn't stop there. He rapidly added the guitar to his list of accomplishments, as a self-taught guitarist. While the guitar days are a fond memory today, his woodwind interest continues to swell at an accelerated pace. In November of 2009, Jay added the E-flat Alto Saxophone to his "to-do" list. In early 2010, Jay was the featured Clarinet player in a local Dixieland Jazz band (featuring Ragtime tunes from the teens and 20’s). With Saxophone now on the list, Jay has been offered other musical opportunities, especially with Rock 'n Roll bands. However, with Jay’s busy DJ schedule, "live" music is relegated to hobby status. Other interests include being an experienced (and still active) amateur ballroom dancer. In addition, his line dance teaching abilities offer clients an opportunity to bring more to their event than just music. Jay’s "well-roundedness" and unique credentials give your event every advantage for success. Being a detail oriented person, Jay's past also included a stint as a Research Assistant for WJXT TV Channel 4 in Jacksonville , FL (Summer 1988-1989). In addition to the Saxophone, his newest self-improvement goal for 2010, has been attempting to learn the German language fluently with hopes and aspirations to visit the European Union in the future.

Experience
Dan has been a Crestline DJ associate since 1990. As Jay's protégé from 1989-1995, Dan learned what it takes to be a successful wedding DJ. DJ Dan has been an institution here at Crestline from 1996 to present. Dan continues to do outstanding work for us to date DJing not only wedding receptions, but also private parties, school dances and corporate events while continuing to receive many kudos from our past clients.
